The future of track construction is the focus of the 4th Track Construction Congress, which will take place in Darmstadt from 14 - 15 November 2023. This event will seamlessly pick up where the iaf Congress on Rail Infrastructure Works left off, which has taken place three times so far in Münster. However, the geographical focus will be broader and directed towards current trends and developments in European railways. However, the iaf as a trade fair will continue to have a close connection to the Track Construction Congress.
The main focal points of the last iaf will be picked up and further explored together with experts from leading international railway infrastructure companies as well as representatives from science and politics. The focus will be on the following topics:

• Climate change & environmental protection
• Maintenance strategy

These sets of topics will be examined and discussed from different angles, with topics such as decarbonisation of drives, digitalisation and automation of work processes also being addressed. Please find a detailed overview in the programme.

The darmstadtium congress centre in Darmstadt was chosen as the venue. This ensures a sustainable conference venue and good accessibility for participants from Germany and Europe.
